Supported Browsers

Sniffer is designed to work seamlessly across all major web browsers. Both the Sniffer dashboard and the on-site feedback sidebar are optimized for the following browsers:

Google Chrome: Sniffer fully supports the latest stable version of Chrome as well as the two previous major versions. Chrome is the recommended browser for the best Sniffer experience, offering full compatibility with all features including the browser extension, screenshot capture, and video recording.
Mozilla Firefox: Sniffer supports the latest stable version of Firefox and the two previous major versions. All core features work reliably in Firefox, including the browser extension and annotation tools.
Microsoft Edge: The Chromium-based version of Microsoft Edge (version 79 and later) is fully supported. Sniffer works seamlessly in Edge, and the Chrome browser extension is compatible with Edge through the Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Edge Add-ons.
Safari: Sniffer supports Safari version 14 and later on macOS. While core functionality works well in Safari, some advanced features like video recording may have limitations. The Safari browser extension is available through the Mac App Store.

Supported Devices

Sniffer is accessible on a variety of devices, allowing team members to capture and review feedback wherever they work.

Desktop Computers: Sniffer works on Windows, macOS, and Linux desktop computers. The full feature set is available on desktop, including the browser extension, JavaScript snippet integration, screenshot capture, video recording, and all task management capabilities.
Laptops: All laptop devices running supported operating systems and browsers can use Sniffer without limitations. The responsive design of the Sniffer sidebar adapts to different screen sizes.
Tablets: The Sniffer dashboard and on-site sidebar are accessible on tablets including iPad and Android tablets. While most features work on tablets, the browser extension is not available on mobile browsers. Use the JavaScript snippet installation method for tablet-based feedback collection.
Mobile Phones: The Sniffer dashboard can be accessed on mobile phones through the web browser for reviewing tasks, adding comments, and managing projects. Capturing feedback directly on websites via mobile is supported through the JavaScript snippet, though the experience is optimized for larger screens. The Sniffer mobile app, if available, provides a streamlined experience for on-the-go task management.
Responsive Testing: Sniffer captures the viewport dimensions and device type with each bug report, making it valuable for testing responsive designs across different screen sizes.
